a balanced experience
friendly staff convenient location poor breakfast shabby interior
the location was convenient. it was near several shops and points of interest. the staff was friendly and helpful, i thought. the hotel is across from a park, a tram stop, and a train station.
The breakfast was basic and quite average. The fruit selection was poor, though turkey is a fruit-growing country. it seemed odd to me. the hotel looked tired inside and needs some tlc.

decent stay near the park
convenient location afternoon tea helpful staff shabby interior basic breakfast poor fruit choice
the hotel's location near gulhane park was really convenient. it was a short walk to many attractions. the free afternoon tea with bagels was also a nice touch. i also found the staff friendly and helpful.
the room upkeep was somewhat lacking. the 'traditional turkish charm' seemed like a cover for some shabbiness. the breakfast selection was basic. the fruit choice seemed particularly poor, especially considering the local produce.

excellent stay
quiet street turkish delights
i appreciated the hotel's proximity to gulhane park. the complimentary afternoon tea was a really nice touch. i also enjoyed the turkish delights that were offered upon my arrival (a welcome surprise!). the staff were very helpful.

a wonderfully pleasant stay
excellent location white linens pleasant touch
The location is excellent. i found it VERY easy to reach hagia sophia and topkapi palace. the bed linens felt perfect. They were white and elegantly ironed. afternoon tea was abundant, a Pleasant touch.
